21 Day Challenge: Day Ten

I'm participating in the 21 Day Challenge at Freckles in April.  To read more about the challenge, or even join in on the fun, click on the orange Challenge button on the side bar.

Today's prompt is "Wear a Closet Orphan", something that's been sitting in your dresser or on a hanger, unworn for some time.  I have plenty of those.

I started going through my clothes to find something that hasn't been worn in a while.  Three hours later, and a garbage bag full of forgotten items; I put together an outfit using two pieces that matched today's criteria.

{ cardigan-nordstrom rack.  t-shirt-old navy.  pants-not sure.  sandals-h&m. }
I chose the forgotten cardigan and pants for today's challenge because at one point in life, I enjoyed wearing each of them.  I liked the crochet detail on the cardigan and the sailor-style buttons on the front of the pants.

But after wearing them today for the first time in a long time, they both joined the donation pile.  I thought the cardigan was awkward and short.  The pants weren't comfortable to wear, either.

Oh well.  I plan on sending them both off to Goodwill to make space for new stuff!

  1. I think getting rid of stuff that isn't used is really cathartic. I feel like it clears more space in my head.

    It also clears literal space, so you can get something you actually want. I love that part.
