21 Day Challenge: Day Two

Here we are; the second day of Kayla's 21 Day Challenge!  After the first post yesterday, I was happily overwhelmed with the positive response from fellow challenge-ers.  Everyone is so motivational, inspirational and kind to each other.  I'm grateful to be a part of this group!

Today's prompt is "Tuck It In".  When I first read that, I got all sweaty and nervous.  I don't think I've tucked anything in since the fourth grade, and definitely not since I birthed two children.  While reading through fellow challenge-ers' posts, I see that I shared the same fear about today's prompt with a large handful of them.
But you guys?!  We did an awesome job.  Seriously awesome.  Everyone is looking so good!

Here's what I came up with for my "Tuck It In" outfit:

{ Shirt- Hand-me-down.  Trouser jeans- Old Navy.  Black pumps- Bakers Shoes.  Necklace- Wal-Mart.  Belt- Wet Seal. Flower pin- H&M.  Elastic headband as a bracelet- H&M. }

The shirt had been sitting, unworn, in my closet for over a year.  I didn't wear it because I didn't like how short it was...but tucking it in fixed that problem in a snap!  After trying a few different pairs of pants/shorts/skirts, I found that I like tucking shirts into high rise pants rather than the hip-hugger style.  Just suits me better.

Phew!  Made it through today's challenge.  Now what in the world will I do about tomorrow's?!

  8. I agree about tucking into high rise rather than low. Then I don't feel like I am pulling my pants up all day. You look great.

  17. Very cute. I like it tucked in. And yes, I've found high-rise pants work best for tucking in.
